The foundation of great embroidery starts with an experienced digitizing artist. The embroidery digitizer is trained to turn your digital logo into a piece of art made with a needle and thread. We translate your logo into an embroidery digitized file that is ready for the embroidery machine to produce. Our artists optimize every design, taking into considering the hat shape and fabric, as each aspect has specific requirements needed to achieve quality custom embroidery.
- Beanies: Proper underlay in custom embroidery like zig-zag and double underlay allows the design to not bury into the beanie material. As the beanie material can become distorted. We apply push and pull compensation in the digitized design to address the stretching of the fabric during embroidery.
- Visors: Must consider the small area for embroidery. Most visors have a maximum embroidery area of: 5.50” inches wide and only 1.25” inches tall. So most have a linear shaped custom logo.
- 5-Panel Hats: Have a pinch fold at the center front of the hat. The fold comes down pretty low on some of the hats resulting in a limited 2-inch tall embroidery space on the center front.
- 6-Panel Hats: The center seam does not cause any issues for embroidery as some customers have concerns. This hat shape offers the largest embroidable area of 2.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide.

Overseas customization allows the hat to be decorated with options not possible in USA domestic production, such as:
- Custom hat colors not available in stock in the USA
- Embroidery and patch placement are applied before the hat construction. Allowing for embroidery locations that are not possible once the hat is constructed.
- Custom printing tape seams inside the hat with a company logo or tagline.
- Keeps costs down when embroidering multiple locations and high stitch count designs.
